Barone was in the fourth season of Seinfeld Episode The Shoes as Gail Cunningham a chef who wanted Elaine Benes shoes. Barone was also a part-time cast member on Carol & Company, starring with Carol Burnett in the early 90s. Barone performed the role of the ex-wife of Carol Willick Ross Geller in the initial Friends appearance. Jane Sibbett replaced her after she left to take on a full-time position.
